Antique Parquet Fir Wood Floor Prima Patina

Our antique Parquet Fir wood floor Prima Patina is the gift of a slow maturing process, which lasted hundreds of years, that has forged its characteristics enhancing its beauty and natural properties.

With first patina we mean parquet that have so many stories to tell.
Floors trampled by homeowners and their guests.
Exposed to sunlight, where drops of oil or wine have fallen on the floors during a lunch or a wonderful dinner.
Floors that have been cleaned, soiled and cleaned.
The previous lives of this antique parquet, experienced in its many structural uses, emerge on its variegated surface, between the yellowish sapwood and the heartwood brown.

The patina of the past has settled on the body of the wood binding to the marked splits that furrow like wrinkles its radial sections.
The visual and tactile experience of this ancient material, laid under our feet, they offer a feeling of firm sturdiness and kindness together.
The warm honey-colored essence and the irregular grain is the face of this noble wood with a coarse texture.
Over time, the fir has acquired an incomparable intensity and charm, just as his heartwood has become even more tenacious, able to withstand bad weather and challenge, again and forever, the wear and tear of time.

Technical Description of Antique Fir Wood Floor Prima Patina:

The antique fir wood floors in Prima Patina and more generally of other types of wood (Olmo, Oak, etc.) differ from modern wooden floors for their refinement and for the history they "tell".
The wormholes, the presence of blackening caused by the nails, the imperfections of the wood due to shades of colors and the tread of hundreds of years, tell the story of unique and authentic floors.
Giving new life to these antique floors requires careful processing of the raw material: our task is to recover ancient planks, treat them with all the cautions and attentions necessary to insert them in new housing contexts.
The versatility of the antique Fir planks is such as to allow the creation of prestigious floors but at the same time resistant and durable over time.

Orientation, geometry and type of installation:

The laying orientation depends on the main lighting source of the room, which may be the terrace window for example.
The elements must be laid longitudinally with respect to the incident light.
Skilfully exploiting the choice of laying orientation the proportions of the room can be accentuated.

The laying geometry is a formwork, regular as it was used in the past.
In regular formwork laying the individual elements of the same width and length, they are arranged in the sense of their length, so that the butt joints occur in the same centerline or in a constant position with respect to the planks of the previous row.

Laying types:

POSING BY GLUE

FLOATING LAYING: the planks are simply placed on the laying surface and are joined with interlocking elements.
